Notes from Hume Seeds

An excellent variety for baking. Fruit is sweet and dark orange, with pumpkins weighing 6 pounds, 6 to 8 inches in diameter. They can also be used for painting or carving, and the seeds can be baked for tasty snacks. Approximately 115 days to maturity.

Specs:

  • Plant Size: 8 - 15 feet

  • Days to Maturity: 115 days

  • Light Preference: Full sun

  • Fruit Size: 6 lbs, 4-6 per vine

SPACING: Plant in raised hills about 3-4 feet apart, or more depending upon available space.

SEED SAVING:

If planted near other squash, may cross pollinate. Allow squash to fully ripen on vine. Remove seeds from squash, clean with water and dry for multiple days. Store in a cool, dry place.
