This is our first year growing this variety for our Spring 2025 Plant Sale! Grown from Ed Hume seeds that were shared by our friends at Growing Neighbors.

Notes from Hume Seeds
An excellent variety for baking. Fruit is sweet and dark orange, with pumpkins weighing 6 pounds, 6 to 8 inches in diameter. They can also be used for painting or carving, and the seeds can be baked for tasty snacks. Approximately 115 days to maturity.

Plant Size: 8 - 15 feet
Days to Maturity: 115 days
Light Preference: Full sun
Fruit Size: 6 lbs, 4-6 per vine
SPACING: Plant in raised hills about 3-4 feet apart, or more depending upon available space.
SEED SAVING:
If planted near other squash, may cross pollinate. Allow squash to fully ripen on vine. Remove seeds from squash, clean with water and dry for multiple days. Store in a cool, dry place.
